Process vendors Celonis and Automation Anywhere have made the latest Forbes Cloud 100 list, ranked 12 and 41, respectively. The Forbes Cloud 100 ranks the top private cloud computing companies, with this year’s list dominated by artificial intelligence (AI).

Generative AI’s fingerprints are all over the 2025 Cloud 100, from model-training firms to companies in health, law, customer service and more all vying to stand out in a highly competitive market.

The top two spots on the list go to OpenAI and Anthropic, two juggernauts of the AI industry. The most notable entry this year is Anysphere (8), creator of the wildly popular generative coding tool Cursor This year’s edition of the Cloud 100 also features another smattering of FinTech companies.

“After a decade of tracking the top companies in cloud computing, one thing is certain: AI has taken over,” Forbes said.

Celonis 12 on Forbes Cloud 100 list

Celonis’ position in 12 on the Forbes Cloud 100 list reflects its impressive growth over the last few years. In June, Celonis was featured in Visual Capitalist’s list of the world’s 50 most valuable private companies. The process mining and process intelligence vendor is the 28th most valuable company on the list with a value of US$13 billion, according to Visual Capitalist.

In a LinkedIn post, Celonis stated: “Right up there with the best cloud companies in the world. To our customers, partners and Celonauts, this one’s for you. We’re building something special, together.”

Earlier this week, Celonis announced a new partnership the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIITA), to launch India’s first process intelligence research center. Located on IIITA’s campus, the Celonis–IIITA Research Center highlights India’s growing role as both a growth market and an innovation hub for Celonis.

Automation Anywhere 41 on Forbes Cloud 100 list

Automation Anywhere’s inclusion in the Forbes Cloud 100 is also indicative of the process automation firm’s strong performance in recent times. In July, Automation Anywhere announced it had earned AWS Generative AI Competency for assisting global organizations in enhancing productivity and driving business transformation through AI-powered automation.

This recognition reflects Automation Anywhere’s proven technical expertise and customer success in designing, deploying and operationalizing generative AI solutions on AWS.

“Achieving the AWS Generative AI Competency underscores the strength of our AI-powered agentic automation system and validates the real-world impact we’re delivering to enterprise customers,” said Adi Kuruganti, chief product officer of Automation Anywhere. “This recognition affirms our ability to combine generative AI, automation and orchestration at scale – helping organizations unlock productivity, reduce friction in work and make faster, smarter decisions with the trust and agility of AWS.”
