Process intelligence software is evolving

Process intelligence software is undergoing a significant change around its target audience and the business value it provides, according to Forrester. “Previously, vendor messaging focused largely on the value of gaining visibility into processes in order to achieve (as yet undefined) operational and transformational improvements.”

Today, vendors mostly position the value of process intelligence in terms of supporting concrete use cases, such as containing the cost of artificial intelligence (AI) agents, cutting the cost of supply chain operations or increasing customer satisfaction ratings, Forrester stated.

Vendors have consequently added use-case-specific features and value packs, positioning process intelligence software as a way to keep AI agents grounded via the curated process data it delivers.

Process intelligence vendors react

“This recognition is only possible because of the dedication and commitment of our customers, partners and Celonauts,” said Carsten Thoma, president and board director at Celonis. “Enterprise AI is set to reinvent operations, but to deliver on its full potential, AI needs to understand how each business runs and how to make it run better, he added.

“As the lead product manager for ARIS process mining, ARIS automation and ARIS GRC, I couldn’t be prouder of my team’s relentless innovation, customer focus and passion for excellence,” said Dr Julian Krumeich, senior director of product management at ARIS. This recognition is not just an award – it’s proof that we’re building the right product, in the right way, to solve the right problems, he added.

“For us, this recognition underscores our commitment to helping customers discover, design and optimize their processes with data-driven decision-making that truly transforms operations,” said Daniel Hughes, SVP, North America at iGrafx.
