In need of some assistance in modeling the variable interactions occuring within a glass coating process that are yielding a defective response of chipping on the product. A chipped sheet being my "e;Big Y"e; output variable, and my multiple x variables are continuous data measures like thickness, moisture, part cleanliness, etc... For all CTQ elements of the process we have been implementing SPC to aid in monitoring process variation / minimize special cause variation occurences. I am looking to embark on what is a seemingly large journey of DOE, but I am struggling with methods utilizing DOE for taking continuous process variable data to examine changes in discrete or binary output response. Any help on literature or support for getting started would be greatly appreciated.
