Stig Peterson shares what he is currently doing with automation. Starting with a proof of concept he took the initiative to proceed and tested the technology to understand how it could work in Topdanmark’s environment.

Stig quickly saw success, so much so that he established a team which is now working permanently with robotic process automation (RPA). The first bot rollout was a year-and-a-half before this interview was recorded at the Nordic RPA & AI Summit in Stockholm. There was a fair amount of preparation that needed to happen prior to getting a decision from the Board to actually move forward and then secure funding. Stig notes that it’s difficult to move fast in process excellence and RPA was a fast track to cost reduction.
