About this Podcast...

We’ve seen process improvement methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma spread from manufacturing industries to almost all types of industries, companies and even departments within companies. But there’s been one profession that’s traditionally been seen as a hold out where no sane process professional dares wrestle with – the legal profession.

However, two former attorneys who now run a Lean practice management advisory firm say that this is changing – and fast!

David and Karen Skinner have over 40 years combined experience practicing law internationally for both private and public companies. Through their firm Gimbal Canada Inc. they’ve been offering law firms and in-house legal departments advice on how to adapt to today’s changing legal landscape through applying Lean concepts. It’s advice that, they say, legal firms are hungry for..and in this Process Perspectives podcast, they tell us why.
