In contributor Dan Morris’s first PEX Network column in August 2011 "BPM: If you’re going to drive a race car – prepare to get on the track", he talked about the potential of BPMS-enabled BPM. Since then, we have seen vendors embrace workflow simulation and advanced analytics. We have also seen the creation of iBPM and a combining of Agile and Waterfall methodologies into a new approach called Wagile. The BPMS tools now support the generation of social mobility apps, and BPMN has evolved.
Even given these enhancements, we probably "haven’t seen anything yet". But just as in August of 2011, when Dan started writing for PEX Network, companies have yet to embrace the real potential capabilities of what Business Process Analysis tools and full-blown Business Process Management Tool Suites can do and the way they can change the business.
