In effect, that was the challenge facing ThyssenKrupp Stainless USA, a company that builds and operates stainless steel processing facilities around the globe. The company recently invested $5bn in the most modern steel processing plant in near Mobile, Alabama, USA. With hundreds of new employees, new plant, new products and an aim of enhancing "logistical efficiencies" and "just-in-time delivery to better serve [its] North American customers" it was imperative for the company to have a solid platform to support operational excellence.
