The merger of two companies can create a real headache for process professionals as different working practices, cultures and systems need to be merged into one entity. That was the challenge facing mobile operator Mobilkom and fixed line operator Telekom Austria after they merged in 2010 to become A1 Telekom, Austria’s leading telecom operator.
In this PEX Network video interview recorded LIVE at PEX Week Europe, PEX Network editor Diana Davis talks with Markus Mazanec, Head of IT Business Process Management at Austria's A1 Telekom on what it took to overcome the challenges presented by the merger. The interview also discuses the company's approach to incorporate real-time monitoring and event monitoring into their BPM approach, which they call "process intelligence".
