Bruce Miyashita, Vice President of Six Sigma at Maple Leaf Foods argues that companies need to think about quality and improvement in what he calls a more process-centric way. He met up with the Process Excellence Network in London recently to talk about ways that his company has built a sustainable continuous improvement program. He also talks about how Maple Leaf Foods responded to a major crisis a couple of years ago when a number of people died after eating contaminated deli meat produced at one of their factories.
