A stopwatch can be a Lean tool of brute force

Lean can be used for more than just manufacturing, according to Tina Capotorto, Director of Process Improvement at GE Oil & Gas. Capotorto has been applying some of the principles of lean manufacturing to the office environment and getting interesting results. In this "Profit through Process" podcast, Capotorto describes how lean can be used to improve the efficiency of back office functions and even reveals how she uses a stopwatch as a tool of "brute force".
