I would like to know as to wen a six sigma approach can be adopted for the project. For Ex i work in a project that conducts many studies. I have collected data for the time taken to execute each study. The data varies based on type of study and cannot be linked. You can have studies varing from 32 hrs to 250 Hrs. I am intersted in reducing the execution effort per study and i know what to do. however i am unable to generates numbers in sixsigma terminologies like DPMO etc which according to me is not possible for my project.
I would like to know if a six sigma project can be executed without identifing DPMO of sigma and just do study based pareto ranking or efforts based on subprocesses on an average time scale.
