Data is fundamental to business processes, and underlies all attempts to automate workloads. 

Seth Adler caught up post-speech with Beju Shah is Head of Data Collection & Publication, Digital Platforms at Bank of England - Digital Transformation, Innovation, A.I., Regulation. He says that data isn't static - over time it can become more or less valuable - and not all data is created equal.  

'You can do AI, as long as you have a data set... but what is the quality of that data set? How is it structured? Where is the meaning in that data set? How is the system supposed go through it, traverse it, understand or get a sense of what's there? How do you get confidence in the results if you haven't got the right plumbing or data in place?'
