According to the Deloitte Global RPA Survey 2018, RPA will be almost universally adopted over the next five years. Despite the benefits of RPA such as efficiency and cost savings, scaling has proven to be problematic, with only three per cent of companies reporting they have been able to achieve more than 50 bots.
Businesses cannot simply apply RPA and expect good results: implementation needs to be done correctly. Process discovery has been cited as the key methodology to ensure that the right processes are automated in the first place.
