process intelligence

Process intelligence refers to the use of advanced analytics to gain insights into business processes and workflows. It involves collecting, analyzing and interpreting data from multiple applications across various functions to understand how processes are executed, identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and areas for improvement. These insights are then used by organizations to re-engineer processes and identify opportunities for automation.

“Process intelligence allows our team to identify opportunities of improvement in real-time, across functions and geographies,” Marvin Johnson, vice president service excellence at Johnson & Johnson, explained in PEX Report 2024. By providing a comprehensive view into technology, processes and organizational behavior, process intelligence serves as the “brains of the organization.”
