2013 SURVEY RESULTS: Process Excellence State of the Industry

Every two years, PEX Network undertakes a State of the Industry research project to better understand general trends in how companies are approaching operational excellence. In June 2013, PEX Network conducted this survey, carried out in association with OpenText, as part of research to better understand emerging trends in process excellence.
What tools and methodologies are companies using in their approach process excellence? What is the outlook for budgets and resources? What are the general trends practitioners are experiencing? What are the skills and capabilities that are in demand?
An in-depth online survey was conducted in June 2013 to which 814 process professionals responded. The following pages summarize the key results of this survey. Where possible, findings have been benchmarked against earlier reports in 2011, 2009 and 2005.
