23 JANUARY 2013 – ORLANDO: DTE Energy, an integrated energy company, has won the award for Best Process Excellence Program at the 2013 global Process Excellence Awards announced on Tuesday 22 January in Orlando, Florida.
The Process Excellence Awards series, a global awards series run by the Process Excellence Network, recognize companies and individuals that have achieved exceptional results through the use of process improvement methodologies. Winners and runners up in other categories included TELUS, Braskem Americas, SingTel, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Phytel, Globe Telecom, CIBC, Quattor-Braskem, Braskem UNIB 2 RS and Scottsdale Healthcare.

Final judging took place during the network’s annual PEX Week event, an industry event for process professionals. "We’re always so impressed by the level of the entries and this year was certainly no exception. Our list of finalists was chosen from a field of dozens of applicants – so the finalists did very well to make it as far as they did," said Amanda Jenkins, Director of Operations at PEX Network.

"We always find it so exciting to see the incredible variety in how companies approach process excellence," said PEX Network Director Vanessa Lovatt. "I think all of the award winners and finalists should be very proud of what they’ve achieved. We're also very pleased to have a number of companies who have entered before - but not won - come back this year and come out winners in their categories."
