Want To Get More Things Done? Throw Away the "To Do" List

Add bookmark

Do you have a "to-do list" that’s a mile long? And how often do you finish the day with every item checked off? It might be that the "to do" list is actually hampering your productivity. At least that's the argument put forward by Peter Bregman author of a new book out called 18 Minutes: Find Your Focus, Master Distraction, and Get the Right Things Done. In this Process Perspectives interview, Bregman explains us more about how trying to get too much done is counterproductive, why multi-tasking doesn't work, and shares his "18 Minute" technique for getting on top of your day.

Peter Bregman's book, 18 Minutes: Find Your Focus, Master Distraction, and Get the Right Things Done comes out in September in the United States and in January 2012 in the United Kingdom.
