Salesforce has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Regrello to enhance agentic process automation. Regrello is an artificial intelligence (AI) native solution that automates complex business processes, taking business data and turning it into agile, agentic workflows.
Following the close of the deal, Salesforce intends to integrate Regrello with both Agentforce and Slack, enabling customers to convert manual, inefficient tasks into intelligent, agent-driven automations.
The integration marks a pivotal step toward building the agentic enterprise, where humans and AI collaborate seamlessly to drive greater speed, quality and impact across critical business processes.
The acquisition is expected to close in Salesforce’s third fiscal quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.

Businesses need greater agility for agentic process automation
“Businesses need greater agility, yet too often critical processes are hindered by disconnected tools and manual workflows,” said Steve Fisher, president and chief product officer at Salesforce.
Integrating Regrello will turn unstructured artifacts into coordinated workflows, bringing humans and agents together on the Salesforce Platform and giving every employee the ability to automate manual work, collaborate in real time and deliver customer value faster, he added,
“We founded Regrello to eliminate the friction in enterprise work,” said Aman Naimat, CEO of Regrello. “Joining Salesforce gives us the reach and platform to bring agentic process automation to more organizations, helping teams break free from old, slow and expensive ways of working to agile, AI-powered execution.”

Process intelligence is key to agentic automation
Process intelligence plays a central role in supporting effective and sustainable agentic automation. AI needs purpose, precision and accountability, which start from process intelligence.
“Without contextual awareness and operational grounding, AI can just as easily reinforce inefficiencies, propagate risks or even break processes. This is why process intelligence is no longer a nice-to-have, it is mission-critical,” according to Marlon Dumas, chief product officer at Apromore and professor at University of Tartu.
There are five essential steps to agentic automation readiness using process intelligence:
- Discover the actual process before deploying any agent.
- Identify high-impact automation targets.
- Simulate before you deploy.
- Continuously monitor agent performance against KPIs.
- Align agents with compliance rules and controls.
“AI agents without process intelligence is automation without understanding: fast, but blind,” said Dumas. “Success will go to those who pair the speed and efficiency that AI agents bring with the transparency, effectiveness and control that process intelligence adds.”
