Social media has been dramatically reshaping our social interactions and by now, everyone has felt the full impact of online social networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn, micro-blogging tools such as Twitter, and crowd-sourcing sites such as Wikipedia and YouTube.  Early adopters have effectively leveraged these tools to support marketing and brand management initiatives but little has been written on the competitive advantage that social media brings to the process improvement space.
