Robotization to improve efficiency and employee experience
Slovenia's largest insurance company implemented robot technologies with full employee engagement
Zavarovalnica Triglav, the insurance market leader in Slovenia, has introduced robotic process automation (RPA) across multiple functions, resulting in greater cost efficiencies, smoother processes and more engaged employees. In a case study presentation at PEX Live: Intelligent Automation & Robotic Processes 2022, Sašo Pašič, IT manager at Zavarovalnica Triglav, said that one of the big challenges for companies introducing RPA technology was overcoming negative perceptions from employees.
Pašič said that for organizations, the benefits of RPA included cost optimization, competitive advantage and increased profits, but employees could feel intimidated by high levels of digital transformation. He explained that many employees were concerned that their jobs would be replaced by robotization or that it would affect their ability to do their jobs.
He explained, however, that as well as the bottom-line benefits for organizations, RPA solutions could improve employee experience. Robotization can enable “everyday, boring repetitive work that burdens people” to be performed via automation, Pašič sais, adding that “people should do more meaningful and interesting tasks”.
