Change is the only constant. With an ever more demand on project managers and minimal resources, the success or failure of a project is contingent on project implementation.

However, resistance to a project’s change efforts can derail even the most carefully laid out initiative. While programs such as Lean Six Sigma, PMI's PMP, and Prince 2 may offer the structure and tools to manage projects, they don't spend enough time on change management. How will you as a project manager be able to work through the psychological impact of your project?

Luckily, many change management models have been created by industrial psychologists in an effort to help you as a practitioner deal with this specific challenge. This Profit through Process Interactive webinar will get you started in knowing how to use these models in order to achieve more effective project execution.

Genna Weiss of Six Sigma & Process Excellence IQ speaks with Bernardo Tirado, an industrial psychology practitioner who has recently joined Morgan Stanley after a 14-year career with American Express as a project management executive, who discusses:

  • Why it's important to know which change management model is used within your organization and how it can help you manage through obstacles
  • What the Emotional Change Curve is and how it can assist with project execution
  • The application of change management techniques to a practical example
  • Key pitfalls project managers should avoid
