PEX Network’s key takeaways:

  • Fujitsu is working with Celonis to drive artificial intelligence (AI) transformation with process intelligence.
  • Celonis has enabled the supply chain of FSAS Technologies, a Fujitsu subsidiary, to realize 20 percent reduction in excess inventory and 50 percent reduction in inventory orders in the first six months after implementation.
  • Forrester predicts that process intelligence will rescue 30 percent of failed AI projects in 2026.

Fujitsu is partnering with Celonis to enable artificial intelligence (AI) driven transformation with process intelligence.

Fujitsu is working with its IT service customers around the world to accelerate its business transformation. By combining Fujitsu’s digital transformation capabilities with the Celonis Platform, customers get tailored solutions that optimize their processes and generate massive value, according to a press release.

Celonis has enabled the supply chain of FSAS Technologies, a Fujitsu subsidiary, to realize 20 percent reduction in excess inventory and 50 percent reduction in inventory orders in the first six months after implementation.

Fujitsu taps Celonis for AI-driven transformation

Celonis enables companies like Fujitsu to drive AI-powered transformation by identifying where AI can deliver the most value, giving it the context it needs to perform, and ensuring it integrates seamlessly with existing operations.

Inventory optimizations have already generated multi-million-dollar savings for FSAS Technologies, and the global technology leader is continuing to build on that momentum. In partnership with Celonis, Fujitsu is expanding process intelligence across additional business processes.

“With Celonis, we’ve been able to cut costs by giving our teams the data and context needed to make faster, smarter decisions,” said Kazushi Koga, corporate executive officer, SEVP, head of platform at Fujitsu. “We’re now scaling AI across the enterprise fueled by transformative technologies like Celonis. This is not only transforming how we run Fujitsu, but also how we support our customers in reaching unprecedented levels of efficiency.”

Driving AI transformation with process intelligence

Many enterprises struggle with AI, because models and agents alone can’t see how the business runs, commented Bastian Nominacher, co-CEO and co-founder of Celonis.

“Fujitsu shows what it really takes to unlock the full potential of enterprise AI. By grounding AI in process intelligence, Fujitsu can automatically trigger the right actions to continuously improve how its business runs, setting a new standard for how complex global operations can perform with speed, reliability, and trust.”

Process intelligence will rescue 30 percent of failed AI projects in 2026, according to Forrester. The research giant recently released its predictions for the next frontier of automation, highlighting process intelligence as a key factor in successful AI adoption.

The race to cognitive automation is well underway, Forrester wrote on Forbes. “For years, deterministic automation has been the backbone of reliability and compliance. While this paradigm still matters, it no longer defines the frontier. The growth of agentic AI has shifted the goalposts from task execution to contextual reasoning and adaptive decision-making.”

Process intelligence sits at an inflection point in this evolution with immense potential to provide agents with contextual awareness and process grounding, Forrester added.
