My previous role was with the AMA – American Medical Association where I served as the Senior Manager of Quality & Process Improvement, and although I had autonomy over my daily operations in Chicago, there is a greater sense of urgency and purpose here at L.A. Care Health Plan in Los Angeles. Serving as their Director of Business Process Improvement, I am tasked with providing needs assessments and recommendations of how we, organizationally, can improve upon our current state processes and automate more of our data needs so that we can become more intuitive to our needs and make adjustment “in the moment”. This is critical in the line of business/healthcare we are in and we need to make our processes as efficient and seamless as possible and create a state of daily continuous improvement instead of always being in crisis mode when it comes to operationalizing our processes!
