ABBYY announced the launch of Vantage 3.0 featuring direct integration with LLMs, bridging the reliability gap between traditional AI and generative AI.
Built on a completely new, modernized tech stack, ABBYY’s document AI platform is designed to adapt as AI evolves, delivering new advancements faster and with more flexibility, according to the release.
Vantage 3.0 also introduces a powerful analytics dashboard, built-in compliance and redaction capabilities, and an expanded library of pre-configured AI models that enable organizations to gain real-time insights, protect sensitive information, and accelerate process transformation.
ABBYY combines document and generative AI
The reliability and precision of purpose-built AI combined with the flexibility of generative AI allows users to leverage the vast capabilities of LLMs safely within business process workflows, stated a press release.
This hybrid approach ensures users expand document automation capabilities while maintaining the control, consistency, and explainability required for enterprise-grade solutions.
ABBYY Vantage also connects to Azure OpenAI for prompt-based extraction without complex custom coding, including pre-engineered prompts optimized for data extraction to reduce setup time, and validation to ensure consistent results and continuously improve performance, the firm said.
“We know that context matters when it comes to data extraction,” commented Max Vermeir, VP of AI strategy at ABBYY. “With ABBYY Vantage, you can control exactly how data is sent to the LLM and choose between sending the document image or the structured, precise text output from ABBYY’s highly acclaimed OCR. Furthermore, you can tract where data was extracted from within the document for auditability and transparency that’s essential for compliance.”

Enhancing compliance and privacy
Vantage 3.0 integrates robust, enterprise-grade compliance controls, including automated redaction that removes sensitive data before storage or export. This helps healthcare, financial services, and insurance organizations protect confidential information, meet regulatory requirements, and reduce breach risk.
Enhanced role-based access controls, comprehensive audit trails, and strengthened BC/DR capabilities further ensure secure, compliant, and uninterrupted mission-critical document processing, even during regional or infrastructure failures.
Real-time analytics that boost decision-making
The new comprehensive analytics dashboard provides organizations with granular process insights and real-time performance metrics such as touchless processing rates, document type detection accuracy, human-in-the-loop (HITL) corrections. With advanced visualization and reporting features, teams can:
- Identify process bottlenecks.
- Track precision rates.
- Drive process optimization and ROI.
Meanwhile, a growing library of pre-configured document AI skills allows users to boost document processing automation with minimal setup. New and enhanced AI models include certificates of analysis, insurance claims and mortgage notes, invoices, tax forms, purchase orders, and financial and healthcare forms.
“Vantage 3.0 underscores ABBYY’s commitment to delivering tangible results,” said Vermeir. “Businesses can access and transform information from their enterprise documents with greater confidence, streamline compliance, and accelerate day-to-day operations through actionable intelligence and trusted automation.”
