Professional Expertise 

Tracey Bessellieu joined the firm as Interim Head of Human Resources in August 2019. She is responsible for overseeing every HR aspect from talent, performance and organizational strategy to training, development and compensation. Functioning as an advisor to the executive and senior management teams, Tracey provides insightful and innovative support to new strategy decisions and overall organization at an HR level. She oversees planning for management succession, as well as advising on appropriate forms of compensation and benefits.

Over a 35-year career spanning four industries, Tracey has honed her strategic business acumen by partnering with executive leadership to develop human capital strategies. She came to Savills from the American Museum of Natural History, where she was the Senior Director for Learning and Development. Tracey currently serves as the Special Liaison for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. In this role, she provides the museum with best practice information and guidance. Tracey’s career has encompassed roles as Organizational and HR Capital Consultant with Philips Consulting & Management Group, and as National Director of HR and Global Director of Talent Management and Diversity with Parsons Brinckerhoff. She has held leadership roles at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and the Institute for Urban Family Health. As a senior executive managing HR teams around the world, Tracey has developed a reputation for driving strong business outcomes. She is a certified workplace assessment provider; coaching and partnering with executive professionals who lead local, national and global organizations.

Tracey’s mission is helping organizations realize that prioritizing their people will lead to enhanced business outcomes and innovative solutions.

Awards, Achievements and Activities


Tracey is active in many professional organizations, including the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), National Association of Female Executives, New York City Urban Health Fellowship, Society of Human Resource Professionals, and Women’s Unlimited Female Workgroup. Tracey is currently a Board Member of MentoringUp; a 501(c) (3) organization focused on professional women investing in, teaching and mentoring women. She has earned many awards in her career, including the Shirley DeLibero Women Who Move the Nation Transportation Award (2014) and Corporate Citizen Award (2009 – 2014) from COMTO; the Diversity Award for Outstanding Contributions (2012) from Parsons Brinckerhoff; and Service Excellence Awards (2000 – 2005) from New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
