Mike leads
McKinsey’s Manufacturing Solutions and is also a leader in McKinsey’s North
American Digital Manufacturing initiative. He has helped develop McKinsey’s
approach to digital transformation for clients’ brownfield and greenfield
manufacturing sites.
Mike has
served several clients on a diverse set of operations topics, including
manufacturing strategy; digital transformation, and network optimization;
clients span GEM, automotive & assembly, aerospace, and CPG manufacturers

programs ranged from 6-18 months, spanning technological, systems, and cultural
changes; recent experiences include:

up a network-wide digital performance management system, bringing mix of
automated and real-time performance data, coupled with performance dialogs for
operations and business leaders, to drive operating performance for a global
metals producer

the data needs and systems for manufacturing execution and asset scheduling,
along with capability building to use newly acquired data, for a global
aluminum producer

Defining
the Industry 4.0 business case, roadmap, and technology strategy for a global
tools and engineered products producer

the design of the Plant of the Future for a global drinks producer, including
digital use case and technology roadmap to modernize data capabilities;

Before
joining McKinsey, Mike worked at Eaton Corporation, a global capital goods
manufacturer, where he conducted capacity planning and financial analyses, and
advised senior management on geographic expansion and acquisition and
divestiture targets
Mike received
an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago (Honors), and a B.A. in Economics from
Miami University (magna cum laude)
