Dr. Viktors J. Muiznieks

Director Technology Innovation and Integration MIT Lincoln Laboratory

Vik has global experience leading innovation efforts to develop and align technology, business and operational strategies and intent into successful project, product and program implementations and organizational transformations at major corporations (Digital, Nortel, Nokia-Siemens Networks, Lucent, Philips), startups (InfoClarus), and small businesses (Aberdeen Group).  He has managed distributed software engineering and IT groups, created solution architecture programs and methodologies, as well as built professional services practices. Currently, he provides technology leadership in implementing strategic initiatives for MIT Lincoln Laboratory’s Business Transformation Office including lab-wide business process modeling and enterprise architecture definition and governance  He also leads an IT group responsible for integrating systems, technologies, tools and user interface/experience designs in the areas of content management, search, collaborative applications and communication technologies.  He received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, and is certified in ITIL, TOGAF, and DevOps.  He has previously served on the Board of Directors for the OMG (Object Management Group), and received a Corporate Change Agent Leadership Award.
