David Marlow is a nationally-recognized leader in Continuous Improvement and Innovation having previously shared his experiences as a Keynote Speaker at such events as AT&T’s National B2Bi Customer Conference and Fusion13 IT National Conference with a focus on leading lean six sigma transformation programs.
Dave has built a career around innovation, analytics and continuous improvement having been a part of transformations at three Fortune 500 companies as well as smaller companies in roles ranging from senior management to the executive level spanning industries as diverse as financial services and health care to manufacturing.
He currently serves as a leader in Northwestern Mutual’s Client Services Transformation (CST) where he is driving the creation of the CST Design Thinking Practice. Dave previously created and led from inception the continuous improvement program at NM named Continuous Learning and Improvement (CLI). The mission of the CLI team is leading change and transformation in Operations by engaging employees in leading improvement, creating capacity to support future growth and improving the customer experience. Dave brings nearly 20 years of experience in leading improvement and innovation programs and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and LSS Champion.
Dave received his degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu while serving on active duty in the United States Marine Corps and most recently was awarded Cornell University’s, Leading with Design Thinking certificate.
Dave and his wife Alicia have three adult children and recently welcomed their second grandchild.
When he is not driving innovation, you can find Dave sipping a large espresso or out on the running trails training for a marathon.
