Sheila Montney

AVP State Farm
Sheila Montney has held positions with State Farm in Property Casualty, Life, Health, Mutual Funds, and State Farm Bank in a career spanning 36 years. She has been involved in leading transformational and operational excellence work since 2007. For the past three years, she served as AVP - Technology and Centralized Operations Officer for State Farm Bank, playing a key role in its divestiture. Sheila also serves on the Executive Advisory Board for the Shingo Institute. She was recently elected Alderman in the city of Bloomington, Illinois. She is excited to apply the principles of the Shingo Model in the public sector in service to the community, improving value to constituents. Sheila holds a Master’s Degree in Government from Harvard University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in English from the University of North Texas. She has earned Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designations. She is also a Certified Birkman Professional. She has been involved with numerous operational excellence and quality organizations over the years. She led the first challenge by a financial services organization for the Shingo Prize in 2012, wherein State Farm Life Insurance was awarded the Bronze Medallion. Sheila resides in Bloomington, Illinois.
