Oli Barnett
Director of Operational Excellence
Baringa Partners
Oli has over 15 years’ experience in Operational Excellence (OE), Process Automation & Lean Six Sigma across multiple industry sectors, both from a consulting and industry point of view. His proven track record and Continuous Improvement expertise (across UK, Europe & Japan) help him in guiding business leaders to improve their operational performance, from strategic direction through project execution to benefits realisation. Oli’s core Lean/Kaizen skills originate from his experience as a Design & Manufacturing Engineer at Toyota, where he led teams in the UK & Japan.
Since Toyota, he has helped a range of global cross-sector organisations, working with them to enhance a variety of functions, from shop-floor / back office operations, operational systems, through to E2E finance optimisation and energy consumption. Most recently, Oli has designed and delivered a full CI agenda for a major UK telco, transformed the mobile workforce of a London based FTSE 100 organisation and redesigned the way Energy is balanced across the UK national grid network. Oli is a BQF certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, a qualified Toyota Master Trainer and a Blue Prism RPA Engagement Lead.
Oli’s passion is building Organisational Health for his clients, this stems from his belief that organisations can align, execute and sustain better & faster through a combined focus on their health AND performance. Oli’s hands-on approach and experience in cultural change enables him to coach senior leadership teams to deliver business results, whilst still enhancing the engagement & improvement culture. Outside of work, Oli’s married and has one daughter, who certainly keeps him on his toes. He spends most of his time outside of work with his family either by the south coast or in London on some form of home improvement project. He likes to stay healthy and is a keen sportsman…being an Arsenal supporter, usually his success comes from the tennis court rather than the football pitch.
