Guru Vasudeva is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Infrastructure & Operations at Nationwide, a $26 billion revenue financial services and insurance company. In this role, he manages Cloud Computing, On-Prem Hosting, Digital Workplace Solutions, Networking, Security Solutions and IT Help Desk services for the enterprise. Guru is charged not only with providing infrastructure and operation support for 2,000+ applications, but also transforming these services to using Cloud, DevOps, Automation, Infrastructure as Code and Agile Infrastructure practices. Guru's deep experience in Agile, Lean IT, and Software Engineering at scale positions him uniquely to transform the infrastructure function. Prior to this role, Guru has held several senior leadership positions at Nationwide including Enterprise CIO of Program & Application Services, Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Business Unit CIO, and Chief Architect. In these roles Guru has led several functions including IT strategy, enterprise architecture, cyber security, disaster recovery, large program management, and application development and maintenance. Before joining Nationwide, Guru spent six years at IBM as an executive architect focused on conceptualizing, selling, and delivering large Internet-based business solutions for insurance, retail, and government organizations. He has also worked for AT&T and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
