Margaret Magner is a senior learning manager at Wachovia Corporation. She has been in the learning and development industry for over 15 years. Magner began her career in the greater Washington DC area as a technology trainer. Coming back to her home state of North Carolina, she continued her training career at First Union National Bank in Charlotte as a learning strategist designing, developing and facilitating technical and professional development skills.
As First Union merged with Wachovia, Magner’s roles included project manager for a virtual classroom solution and designing broadcast training solutions.
Magner started her management career bringing a training team from a process documentation group to a true learning and development team. She currently manages senior learning strategists managing large training efforts to support enterprise wide projects including mergers and acquisitions, financial regulatory compliance and knowledge transfer for offshoring.
Magner also personally supports knowledge transfer for offshoring efforts and has built a knowledge transfer methodology to support work/process transition for offshoring and merger activities. She is certified to conduct cultural model training and has traveled throughout Asia applying cultural and knowledge transfer skills in her work.
