Kelly L. Allan and Steve Dightman
Kelly L. Allan is on the Advisory Council of the Deming Institute and is also the founder and Senior Associate of Kelly Allan Associates, Ltd., (KAAL) a multi-disciplinary company with 24 Associates that has been in business since 1974. Kelly has published articles, commentary and letters in a variety of journals, including Fast Company, Personnel Journal, Marketing News, INC. Magazine, Business Marketing Association News, The Wall Street Journal, and Harvard Business Review. He has been featured in Fast Company, The Columbus Dispatch, Sam's Club The Source, Tanning Trends, Quality Progress, THE MASTERFUL COACHING FIELDBOOK, THE KNOWING DOING GAP, and ABOLISHING PERFORMANCE APPRAISALS.Kelly travels nationally and internationally speaking on a variety of management topics. He has given presentations in Canada, China, Ecuador, England, Singapore, and Mexico. He has a Baccalaureate degree from The University of Michigan.
Steve Dightman is a principle at RegularGuys Consulting which provides multi-faceted consulting and coaching aimed at improving business performance. He has a diverse background which includes many years with The Boeing Co. where he supported manufacturing operations, engineering, facilities, and business process improvement. He managed the Commercial Airplane Co., Education and Training group, supporting real time embedded computer avionics and simulation, engineering applications, operating systems, software engineering development, supply chain software applications and manufacturing equipment maintenance.
He was instrumental in the development and implementation for the Process Error Prevention method within the Boeing Renton Engineering Division, which contributed an estimated two-year cost avoidance of $42M. Later he led the installation of Total Productive Maintenance, Operations-Maintenance Program for the 757 Fuselage Manufacturing Center. While at Boeing Steve co-lead a weekly study group for 13 years in the investigating and implementation of business improvement theories, methods and tools including Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), W. Edward Deming-Philosophy of Management, Theory of Constraints, Systems Thinking, LEAN, Six Sigma, Value Engineering, TRIZ, NLP-Neural Semantics, Human Performance Technology (HPT) and others.
Steve is also Chapter President of APICS-The Association for Operations Management and holds certifications as a Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Certified Performance Technologist (CPT), NLP-Neural Semantics Master Practitioner, and was issued a ‘Jonah’ certificate from the AGI-Goldratt Institute.
