Piyush Banafar

Piyush Banafar is currently a Lean leader for GE Energy in Atlanta. Piyush has more than 18 years of experience in the energy and environmental services industries. A recognized leader with hands on experience in leading global teams for new product introduction strategies, combined with marketing/sales, engineering and quality experience. He has a track record of success in both US and India regions leading global cross-functional teams in matrix environment.

In the past, he has chaired Mercury Control Sessions of the Electric Power Conference in the US, and has served as a committee member of the same for many years. He is also a certified Black Belt during which he led the business global new product introduction process initiative and transformed the same into a world-class process for a division of Energy services with in GE. He was also the global productivity leader for the business.

Piyush holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh (PA) USA, and Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Ravishankar University in India.
