Scaled Agile appoints new President and COO

Scaled Agile, a leader in scaled Lean-Agile best practices, has strengthened its senior management team with the addition of a former Rally Software Executive.

Scaled Agile, Inc. (SAI), provider of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), the world’s most comprehensive framework for adopting Lean-Agile best practices across an enterprise, today announced the addition of Chris James as President and Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately.

In this position, James will guide day-to-day management of Scaled Agile, Inc., building consistency, efficiency, and ensuring company-wide alignment with SAI’s commitment to customer success through the adoption of Lean-Agile best practices.

Chris brings more than 20 years of experience in IT and software development training and education, including international operations and expertise. Previously, as VP of Customer Success at Rally Software, Chris provided leadership for rapid growth of transformation consulting services, Agile University, Customer Success programs, and partner and technical services. Prior to joining Rally, Chris was a Vice President at Oracle University, where he lead the successful integration of Sun Learning Services following the acquisition of Sun Microsystems. His earlier role at Sun Microsystems was Senior Director and Chief Learning Officer for Americas, and later Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
