MUDA:
It is a traditional Japanese term for an activity that is wasteful and doesn't add value or is unproductive. Muda is a term used in Lean Production. It means 'waste' where the word is used in its broadest sense. The seven wastes of manufacturing are: overproduction, waiting, transporting, inappropriate processing, unnecessary inventory, defects, and unnecessary and excess motion.
