Though it is not as different as Chalk and Cheese, Certifications have little to do with the results. Certifications are a proof that processes are managed 'as expected' but it will not tell you what the results are!! Not aware of your background but relying on your appointment to design, develop and manage e2e operations, and the fact that your are a member of this group, question does come as surprise. Right e2e measures (result+process) will certainly be the primary enablers to your objectives. BPM in general and right metrics in particular add very good value to the business. It will also provide you good leverage anchor some of these with appropriate stakeholders depending on what business they are primarily responsible for. Effectively you will then only have to monitor rather than drive everything :)
