MicroPact, Inc., the global leader in Data-First™ Case Management and Business Process Management (BPM) software, today announced that it was awarded a new blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The agency selected MicroPact's entellitrak® as an application development platform to meet the agency's needs for case management solutions.
This is the third enterprise-level BPA between MicroPact and the IRS since the two organizations started working together more than 17 years ago. The IRS has deployed more than 20 entellitrak case management solutions – ranging from human resources systems to appeals management solutions – during that time.
As part of the new agreement, which is worth as much as $50 million, all departments and sub-agencies that operate under the IRS will have access to purchase software development licenses in order to build out enterprise case management solutions to meet the specific requirements and needs for both internal systems and citizen-facing applications.
"This marks another significant milestone in the ongoing and widespread adoption of entellitrak as the go-to platform for case management solutions within the federal government," said Kris Collo, CEO, President and Founder of MicroPact. "The selection by the IRS of entellitrak as an enterprise case management platform for such a large range of applications is indicative of the work MicroPact continues to provide both our federal and commercial enterprise customers. We look forward to continuing to work with the IRS as it grows and continues to leverage leading technologies to better service the citizens of this country."
The entellitrak platform provides a continuous spectrum of case management and business management solutions – giving the IRS the flexibility to commence development initiatives from a variety of starting points. Its open architecture approach focuses on the core technologies that streamline work for business and IT professionals, making rapid application development a reality.
The agency will leverage entellitrak's reusable software modules and Case Management Frameworks (CMFs) to facilitate more rapid development and delivery of enterprise applications to hundreds of offices and thousands of end users spread throughout the United States.
"Our Data-First approach to case management, along with our proven dedication to the mission of agencies such as the IRS, has resulted in a customer retention rate of over 97 percent," said Growson Edwards, Chief Customer Officer of MicroPact. "The entellitrak platform is a vital tool for federal customers because it allows them to leverage and reuse specific software components, based on proven best practices, as they deploy multiple applications across the enterprise. We look forward to building on the success already achieved by the IRS through its use of the entellitrak as we continue to serve the agency."
Through more than 17 years of working with federal agencies such as the IRS, MicroPact has developed more than 20 frequently repeated pre-configured applications that reflect best practices, business rules, and terminology for case management solutions. These include applications for appeals management, background investigations, audits and compliance, EEO and general counsel, human capital management, labor relations and claims management.
